About our Team:
The Lancet Regional Health – Europe is a Open Access journal, part of the Lancet's global initiative to advocate for health-care quality and access in all regions of the world. We are a small and friendly team handling a high volume of submissions while priding ourselves on offering a personalised service to the researchers who publish with us. The Senior Editor will work with fellow Senior Editors and the Editor-in-Chief in all aspects of the organisation and preparation of the journal. As Senior Editor, you will work closely with fellow Senior Editors and the Editor-in-Chief to shape the journal’s content, collaborate with researchers and health experts, and help deliver impactful research that informs policy and improves health outcomes. This is an opportunity to engage with leading research, build relationships across the regional and global health community, and contribute to the continued growth of a respected journal.
Responsibilities:

Commission content to build our journal’s profile among the communities we serve and handle special project content as necessary.

Attend conferences and other events, to represent the journal, to identify suitable topics and authors, and to keep up-to-date with current developments in regional health.
-
Actively promote the journal and its content through social media and other communication channels, including contributing to multimedia activities, such as journal podcasts.
-
Suggest and help develop new initiatives for future growth and enhancement of the journal.
Requirements:
-
Research experience in a relevant field or experience in the wider development community.
-
Editorial experience, with a good understanding of all aspects of the journal publishing process would be an added advantage but not an absolute requirement.
-

-
An unfailingly can-do attitude.
-
