THE ROLE:
This is a role for an exceptional Senior Creative Lead who is experienced in all areas of digital design and print.
You are a key player in driving New Look’s brand identity.
Inspiring and mentoring a team, you will lead the Creative Design team to deliver the ‘New Look Feeling’ to our customers in ever new and exciting ways.
Collaborating with the other key creative stakeholders in the ideation and delivery of the creative strategy.
The Creative Design team produce all the creative collateral for the New Look Brand, across print and digital design. Including windows, store assets, website, home pages, CRM, editorial features, campaigns, and social media assets.
Based in our East London office and reporting to the General manager of Creative Operations. The Senior Creative Lead sits withing the Customer team, specifically in the Creative team. Which also includes the Creative content team, art directors, creative copy team, production, traffic team, VM team and more widely across the product side of the business the Design and Styling team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supporting the Creative Director on the overarching and seasonal creative vision, including the ideation of the creative strategy. Delivering an exciting, consistent global brand
- Your key focus will be to lead the innovation and creative development of the Creative team.
- You will be responsible for a team of 6 including 3 direct reports.
- Ensuring they work together as one creative team and collaborate with all other functions to deliver the creative vision and give our customer that New Look Feeling. This means being proactive and keeping ahead of the curve when it comes to innovation, creativity and fashion
- You will thrive in a fast-paced environment concepting, delivering and managing creative to be used across all channels and constantly challenging yourself and the team to produce the most relevant and engaging creative for our customer in that channel.
- You will work with the General manager of Creative Operations on the critical path and ensure the team is aware at all times of the deadlines and given enough time to deliver great quality assets.
- You will drive the creative concept creation each season working with the Brand and marketing lead on the brief and delivering the concepts in line with both the creative vision and the critical path.
- You will be responsible for building out the seasonal creative campaign identity and toolkit with a focus on the digital channels ensuring strong & clear brand guidelines are created and adhered to.
- You will motivate and lead the BAU team to deliver strong creative across omi channels that reflect the seasonal brand campaign.
- Delivering highly creative ideas, polished executions across print and digital with a strong attention to design detail and have an eye for applying the finishing touches.
- All work will show a high level of finesse utilising graphics, typography and colour.
- You are able to support your design rationale with solid design theory, industry knowledge and thorough understanding of fashion retail.
- Work closely with Creative Director, Head of Design/design Managers to ensure the original Design direction is carried throughout the creative vision and execution.
- Build strong relationships with the BMD heads and attend all relevant meetings to concept and deliver creative. (e.g. For seasonal pos, product pushes, talent collaborations etc).
- As a key member of the creative team, you are integral in pushing the design boundaries in a fast-paced fashion environment whilst mentoring and guiding team members with a strong creative hand.
- An ambitious, enthusiastic and self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills, you are able to challenge a brief and demonstrate that you have the talent to deliver fantastic creative ideas that are right for the New Look brand and customer.
- You are a confident individual experienced in presenting seasonal toolkits and creative to senior stakeholders withing the business, managing external creatives where needed.
- Constantly looking at ways to improve customer journey and usability of all New Look platforms whilst also giving clear instructions of how to build and execute templates in line with the design vision.
- A fast, efficient worker and excellent at multitasking, with the ability to be reactive and turn a project around quickly whilst delivering to the highest possible standards, always contributing that added extra.
- You champion the creative team and ensure they have a voice and a seat at the table. We always show up and have each other’s back and help each other succeed.
WHO YOU ARE:
- Previous experience of leading a creative design team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven track record /experience of the key stages of the design process from creative concept to design development and asset creation to tight deadlines.
- A conceptual creative, creating designs for omni channel campaigns including digital and print.
- Clear understanding of seasonal brand handwriting, tone of voice and style guides and applying it to all seasonal artworks.
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
- Skilled in Adobe photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Figma and proficient in Office based programmes. Knowledge of after effect and sketch.
- Demonstrated understanding of ux and ui principles.
- You love all things fashion and get a buzz from finding new ways to deliver the trends our customers love.
