Melanin Skate Gals & Pals are an initiative that uses sports as a tool for development, social innovation, and empowerment. We encourage adults from marginalised communities to be more active, make use of their local environments, and connect with global skate communities. We cater to the needs of individuals who are often excluded from sports activities, including marginalised genders, the LGBTQIA+ community, and Black and other people of colour. We create a safe space where our participants can engage in physical activities and community building, free from harassment, discrimination, marginalisation, racism, sexism, and queer and transphobia.
We are seeking experienced professionals to host 2-hour training sessions for our 4 Fellows in community project management and delivery skills.
As we launch our next round of fellowships, where community activators around the world are given 12 months of training and funding to launch their community programmes, we’re looking for facilitators to deliver some of our monthly training sessions.
All fellows will be international, so our hosts need to work flexibly with time zones.
The Session Topics we’re looking to recruit hosts for are:
- Accessibility, Risk & Sustainable Planning
- Leadership & team Building
- Finance, Budgeting & Grant Writing
- Showcase Wrap-up & Future Development
Hosts will also be asked to make a post-session workbook with prompts and questions using our templates.
Dates: 12 months
Pay: £100 per session
