Animator

1X2 Network- a multi-award-winning iGaming supplier- is looking for an Animator to join our growing creative team.

The Role:

As an Animator, you’ll take high-quality artwork from our art team and bring it to life through engaging, performance-optimised animations for our slot and casino games.

You’ll work closely with artists and developers to ensure animations look great and run smoothly across web and mobile platforms.

What You’ll Be Working On:

• Character animations (idle loops, reactions, win states)
• UI animations and transitions
• Real-time VFX (wins, bonuses, feedback moments)
• Implementing animations into the game engine
• Ensuring smooth, responsive gameplay experiences

Key Responsibilities:

• Create 2D animations using Spine or similar tools
• Prepare and implement assets into the game engine
• Work closely with artists and developers to bring game visuals to life
• Optimise animations and assets for performance and file size
• Assist with rigging and animation systems
• Troubleshoot and fix animation or asset issues
• Support and help improve workflows and pipelines

Skills, Knowledge & Experience:

Essential:

• A strong portfolio or demo reel showcasing high-quality 2D animation work for games or interactive media
• Commercial experience as an Animator, ideally within games, iGaming or interactive products
• Strong experience with 2D animation tools (Spine preferred)
• Excellent understanding of rigging and skeletal animation
• Experience working with game-ready asset pipelines and real-time implementation
• Good knowledge of Photoshop and/or After Effects
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work collaboratively with both creative and technical teams
• Confidence working independently and taking ownership of animation features and deliverables
• A passion for creating polished, engaging player experiences

Desirable:

• Experience with PixiJS or web-based game engines
• Basic knowledge of JavaScript / TypeScript / JSON
• Experience with shaders or physics-based animation
• Familiarity with Jira / Bitbucket workflows
• Previous experience in iGaming or real-time games

Portfolio Guidance:

• Character animation (loops, personality, motion)
• Spine or rig-based animation
• UI or VFX animation for games
• Work demonstrating performance awareness or implementation
