Video Content Producer
Job
We’re looking for a creative, editorially minded Video Content Producer to take ownership of video across Christiane Amanpour Presents: The Ex Files and The Crime Agents, from initial ideas and pre-production through to filming, post-production and delivery.
As a Video Content Producer at Global, you will:
Key Responsibilities:
Editing & Post-Production (45%)
- Edit and deliver high-quality long-form and short-form video across both shows, using strong editorial judgement around pacing, multicamera switching, reactions, graphics, inserts and visual storytelling. Adapt content appropriately for YouTube, Global Player and social platforms, and maintain strong QC standards across all final deliverables.
Shooting & Production (30%)
- Produce and shoot studio, remote and off-site recordings, maintaining high creative and technical standards across camera operation, lighting, framing, audio awareness and multi-camera capture. Work with producers ahead of recordings to understand requirements, plan the visual approach, anticipate additional content opportunities and ensure everything needed for the edit is captured.
Creative, Editorial & Show Ownership (25%)
- Take day-to-day ownership of video across your assigned shows and work closely with producers from the planning stage through to delivery. Bring a strong video perspective to editorial and creative conversations, proactively suggest ideas for long-form and social content, and help develop the visual identity and formats of both shows. Manage priorities and workflows effectively, communicate risks early, keep video leadership informed of significant developments and use good judgement around when to make decisions independently and when to bring others into the conversation.
What You’ll Love About This Role
Think Big: Help shape how two distinctive shows look and feel on video, bringing ideas and experimenting with new approaches to storytelling and content.
Own It: Take real ownership of video across your shows, from planning and capture through to edit, delivery and ongoing creative development.
Keep it Simple: Turn conversations and stories into clear, engaging video content, using strong editorial judgement to keep audiences watching.
Better Together: Work closely with producers, talent and the wider Podcast Video team, sharing ideas, solving problems and helping raise the standard of our output.
What Success Looks Like
In your first few months, you’ll have:
- Developed a strong understanding of both shows, their audiences, talent, editorial tone and visual identities.
- Become confident shooting and editing both shows to a consistently high creative and technical standard.
- Taken ownership of the video workflow across both shows, from planning and production through to post-production and delivery.
- Demonstrated strong editorial judgement across long-form and short-form content.
- Built strong working relationships with producers, talent and the wider Podcast Video team.
- Started proactively bringing ideas and identifying opportunities to develop the video output of both shows.
What You’ll Need
- Strong video editing skills, with excellent working knowledge of Adobe Premiere and experience with multi-camera editing.
- Strong shooting skills and confidence operating professional camera equipment across studio and location environments.
- A good understanding of lighting, framing, audio and technical production.
- Strong editorial judgement with a good eye for pacing, reactions, camera choices and visual storytelling.
- Experience creating engaging long-form and short-form digital video.
- A good understanding of YouTube and social platforms and how content should adapt between them.
- A producer mindset, with the ability to take ownership, think ahead, solve problems and contribute creative ideas.
- Strong organisation and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- A proactive, collaborative approach and high attention to creative and technic
