The role:
Join our vibrant in-house e-commerce photography studio as a Still Life Photographer & AI Creator (Home) where you'll play a key role in producing high-quality homeware imagery for N Brown brands and channels.
You'll work at the heart of our fast-paced e-commerce studio, being responsible for photographing homeware products, carrying out high end image retouching and creating realistic lifestyle roomsets using AI software and workflows to bring our products to life through compelling, on-brand assets that engage and inspire our customers.
Collaborating closely with our Design, Buying, Creative and Brand teams, you’ll ensure every visual asset aligns with our creative direction and reflects the essence of our brand. From concept to final capture, your technical skill and creative vision will help shape the visual storytelling across our platforms.

A day in the life of a Still Life Photographer & AI Creator:
Reporting to the Studio Planning and Photography Manager you will be responsible for creating aspirational, on-brand, product focussed home photography to the highest standard.

Solid understanding of photographic lighting techniques for homeware, Capture One and Canon camera systems with the ability to translate this knowledge on set.

Demonstrating creative and technical skill, you will be accountable for creating product focussed still life imagery - clearly displaying details while maintaining an aspirational look and feel to ensure N Brown imagery is ahead of the competition.

Using this still life imagery as an input, you will then create photorealistic lifestyle room-set imagery using AI image generation and compositing techniques, demonstrating a strong understanding of current AI tools, prompting methodologies, image refinement and post-production workflows.

Evaluate and adopt emerging AI imaging technologies and workflows, identifying opportunities to improve creative output, efficiency and scalability across homeware content production.

Carry out high end image retouching and compositing, ensuring all imagery meets brand guidelines, colour accuracy and technical specifications while maintaining a natural, premium aesthetic

Support fashion still life photography, retouching requirements and fashion AI image generation where needed, working flexibly across studio priorities to deliver consistent, on-brand imagery across categories.

Prepare products ready for shoot, including unpacking, checking, pressing/steaming, styling preparation and ensuring items are presented to the required studio standard before capture.

Deliver every image to agreed targets and deadlines while delivering or exceeding creative benchmarks

Have a passion for homeware and interiors. Keeping up to date with the latest trends and styles ensuring N Brown stays relevant in the marketplace while continuously developing your creative knowledge to keep shoots aspirational.

Maintain consistency across photography, retouching and AI-generated imagery, ensuring a seamless visual style across all customer touchpoints.

Be proactive in maintenance of studio kit, ensuring kit stays in optimal working condition and replacements flagged within a timely manner

Engaging in training and development initiatives and always projecting the N Brown behaviours policy

Working closely with leads and management team to successfully deliver the department strategy. Build strong, professional and collaborative relationships with the wider studio team and stakeholder network

Ability to follow agreed style guides translating the direction in to on brand, aspirational imagery in line with N Brown asset guide. Continue to develop the N Brown house style in collaboration with Studio and Creative team to ensure ever evolving visuals in line with the competitor landscape.
What are we looking for:
- Minimum 2 years experience as a still life photographer in a productive photo studio focussed on multi-channel asset production.
- Excellent understanding of photographic lighting for interiors and homeware products, with experience using Canon camera systems and Capture One in a high-volume commercial studio environment.
- Demonstrable experience using AI image generation tools within a commercial creative workflow, including prompt engineering, image refinement and integration with traditional photography and retouching techniques preferred. Training provided in specific AI tools if required.
- Advanced retouching and compositing skills using Adobe Photoshop, with a strong understanding of colour management, masking, image manipulation and non-destructive workflows.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Excellent studio process knowledge & experience.
- Pro-active, positive & flexible attitude, able to motivate colleagues to achieve excellence with a willingness to implement new technologies and adapt to business change.
- Supports the development of others by sharing experience and expertise.
- An excellent knowledge of Photography, Camera, Capture One software, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office is essential.
- Able to undertake the physical aspects of the role, including moving and handling homeware products, setting up photographic equipment and studio sets, and standing for extended periods where required. Appropriate training and equipment will be provided.
