Senior Product Designer - Commercial
Job
Our vision is to give everyone the belief they can make their move. We aim to make moving simpler, by giving everyone the best place to turn to and return to for access to the tools, expertise, trust, and belief to make it happen.
We’re home to the UK’s largest choice of properties and are the go-to destination for millions of people planning their next move, reading the latest industry news, or just browsing what’s on the market.
We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer to help shape the future of Rightmove’s Commercial property marketplace, working across both consumer and partner experiences.
This is a complex, multi-sided domain spanning B2C and B2B experiences. You'll work across strategic product challenges and hands-on delivery, helping define where we go next while maintaining an exceptionally high bar for interaction and visual design.
You'll balance the needs of commercial property seekers, Rightmove's partners and the business, using research, data and experimentation to identify opportunities and turn them into clear, compelling experiences.
The Role:
As a Senior Product Designer in Commercial, you'll own design for a key area of the marketplace, working across discovery, strategy and delivery.
You'll partner closely with Product Managers, Engineers and stakeholders across Commercial, Marketing, Sales and Customer teams. You'll be comfortable navigating ambiguity, influencing direction and making thoughtful trade-offs between user needs, partner value and business goals.
This is a hybrid role: 2 days per week in our Soho, London office and 3 days from home.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Lead end-to-end design from opportunity discovery through to delivery, iteration and optimisation.
- Shape products and experiences across consumer and partner journeys, helping define future product direction.
- Use research, data and experimentation to understand needs, validate assumptions and inform design decisions.
- Design intuitive, visually polished experiences with a high standard of interaction and UI craft.
- Create journeys, flows, wireframes and prototypes to explore ideas, test thinking and align stakeholders.
- Navigate complex and interconnected problems, balancing usability, trust, commercial impact and technical constraints.
- Collaborate across Product, Engineering, Research, Content, Marketing, Sales, Legal and Customer teams.
- Support and mentor other designers through critique and shared problem-solving, while contributing to the evolution and adoption of Rightmove’s design system.
What You'll Bring to the Role:
- Significant experience designing complex digital products, ideally within marketplace, platform or commercial environments.
- A strong track record of owning product design from discovery through to launch and iteration.
- Exceptional interaction and visual design skills, with a portfolio demonstrating strong product thinking and high-quality execution.
- Experience designing across B2C and B2B contexts, with an understanding of multi-sided products and competing user needs.
- A strong commercial mindset, with the ability to understand how user needs, partner value and business outcomes connect, and make thoughtful trade-offs between them.
- Confidence working in ambiguous problem spaces and influencing direction where the answer is not immediately obvious.
- Strong research and discovery skills, with the ability to work independently and use evidence to make decisions.
- Experience working with design systems, including knowing when to reuse, challenge or contribute patterns.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across disciplines and levels.
- A collaborative and self-directed approach, with experience supporting or mentoring other designers.
What Success Looks Like:
- You’ve shaped products that create measurable value for users, partners and the business.
- You can move comfortably between strategic thinking and hands-on design, turning ambiguity into clear, high-quality experiences.
- You raise the quality of the work around you through strong craft, judgement, collaboration and mentoring.
Our Approach to AI:
At Rightmove, we believe software and product are ultimately people problems, and everything we build aims to improve the lives of others. We see AI as a helpful way to create more space for the human side of our work, from understanding real needs to making sure we are solving the right problems in the right way.
