Are you ready to make a significant impact in the public sector? Our client, who are a reputable Housing Association based in Shropshire is seeking an Interim Internal Communications Manager to enhance colleague engagement and strengthen internal communication strategies.

This temporary role presents an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to play a crucial part in fostering a positive workplace culture. You will also have the opportunity to apply for the permanent role should you wish.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Communication Support: Collaborate with leadership to craft and disseminate impactful colleague communications and project messaging, ensuring alignment with wider communications planning.

Digital Platform Management: Serve as the operational lead for developing and managing digital communication platforms, such as Viva Engage and intranet, to enhance employee engagement.

Engagement Coordination: Work closely with strategic and operational managers to ensure cohesive messaging and engagement activities across the organisation.

Internal Campaign Delivery: Support the planning and execution of internal campaigns that align with the organisation's culture, values, and People Strategy, all aimed at making it an exceptional place to work.

Content Oversight: Oversee the internal communications content plan, ensuring consistency in messaging across all channels.

Analytics and Improvement: Analyse engagement metrics to recommend enhancements that drive more effective communications for diverse internal audiences, including office-based, hybrid, and field-based teams.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

Proven Experience: Strong background in managing and developing internal communications, employee engagement, and organisational communications within a complex environment.

Campaign Expertise: Demonstrated success in planning, delivering, and evaluating internal communications campaigns.

Creative Communicator: Confident in content creation with exceptional copywriting, editing, and storytelling abilities.

Digital Savvy: Experience in managing and improving digital communication platforms, with knowledge of Microsoft tools like SharePoint and Viva Engage.

Analytical Mindset: Skilled in interpreting engagement data and using insights to refine communications strategies.

Supportive Leader: Ability to assist senior leaders with clear messaging and communication materials, while effectively escalating sensitive matters as needed.

Adaptable and Agile: Comfortable working at pace, balancing strategic goals with operational delivery.

Additional Requirements:

Driving licence is required for this role, as it may involve travel.

Experience in video production is desirable but not essential.
