The Brand, Comms and Planning team sits at the heart of marketing for Dixons Carphone. Leading and orchestrating marketing, strategy and comms for Currys PC World, Carphone Warehouse and TeamKnowhow achieve their ambition to help all everyone enjoy amazing technology.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and innovative Social Media Manager to join Dixons Carphone as part of the wider Social Media and PR Team in the Brand and Marketing Team.

Reporting to the Senior Social Media and PR Manager, this person will have a key role in helping drive engagement across our core social channels and pushing social first content to help our customers enjoy Amazing Technology. We’re looking for someone who’s really proactive, comes to the table with new and innovative ideas, has their finger on the pulse in terms of what’s new on social and finally, is also really organised. 

As part of this role, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Overseeing the output from the Social Media Team and the content that’s created. 
  • Execution of our social media strategy. Ensuring all activity sits within the social content pillars and drives engagement across the core CPCW and CPW social channels.
  • Leading on our social stream of activity “Tech Tips” creating social content that helps people enjoy amazing technology.
  • Being our internal contact for the business on social media. Sourcing internal ‘stories’ to share on the social channels, the stories will fit into “Amazing Technology” and “Amazing Colleagues”.
  • Overseeing the content calendar for both brands, working with the Community Manager and Social Media Executive to ensure it’s full of content from our content pillars.
  • Responsible for creating the quarterly marketing plans for Social Media, creating internal plans and documents and presenting in wider marketing meetings.
  • Supporting the Social Media Executive to plan in supplier trade posts into the content calendar.
  • Aligning our social content plans with internal teams such as; CRM, Content and Internal Communications.
  • Briefing the designer on creating social content that’s in line with our brand look and feel.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Demonstrable experience of managing social accounts - Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
  • Confident in implementing, managing organic Social campaigns with both brand and performance objectives.
  • Proficient at reporting and analytics (platform insights and software e.g. Sprout Social as well as Ads Managers).
  • Ability to develop internal and external campaign plans and post activity reports independently.
  • Understanding of influencer marketing, experience sourcing /activating influencers.
