This job listing has expired JobThe role of Social Media Manager, Alphablocks Ltd, is an exciting new role that will grow with the individual. It is a strategic and hands-on role working with the Alphablocks and Numberblocks IPs: requiring an individual who understands how to grow and nurture a community across social media, can forward plan, identify key milestones and also who has excellent copywriting skills and image editing skills.
The Social Media Manager will report to the Director of Digital and be part of a highly engaging, supportive and creative team.
This is a full time role that we would consider part time hours for, if you would like to be considered part time please do let us know in your application.
Day to Day:
- Develop and carry out a social media content strategy, including developing a long-term schedule and creating a keyword and hashtag strategy.
- Manage and grow the community carefully, including answering messages promptly and commenting on posts.
- Build relationships with key influencers and work with them to help promote Alphablocks and Numberblocks products and services.
- Create a monthly report showing the performance of channels and paid campaigns.
- Ensure that daily posts are on brand, have correct editorial and are fully optimised.
- Grow traffic to the Alphablocks and Numberblocks websites and YouTube channels.
- Increase downloads of the Alphablocks and Numberblocks apps through driving consumers to these.
- Promote engagement with social media across the company.
- Oversee paid campaigns and promotional posts.
- Stay on top of social media trends and current events in order to incorporate these into the channels.
- As Alphablocks and Numberblocks are translated into various languages, build out the localisation pipeline to ensure that posts are translated/relevant posts are created and scheduled on the channels.
About You:
Must Have:
- Excellent copywriting skills, great communication and organisation skills and be a strong team player.
- A thorough understanding of the key social media platforms, including how to grow and nurture a community through these, with a minimum of 2 years working in social media.
- An understanding of paid social media campaigns on social media, Photoshop and video editing/the desire to learn how to edit video content.
- An understanding of creating content for children, including an awareness of the implications of COPPA and GDPR laws.
Bonus Points:
- Experience working in children’s TV is ideal.
- Experience working on social media channels with over 50k followers ideal.
