This job listing has expired JobThis is an exciting and innovative role for a creative and driven Mid-Weight Digital Designer who we are looking for to come on board and to help elevate the Harvey Nichols brand, across all our multichannel digital platforms. The right candidate will thrive within a fast-paced and innovative environment, preferably with a luxury retail background and will work within the Creative & Marketing department. You will deliver inventive and strategically considered and exciting design on both a day-to-day and larger campaign level.
Ultimately you comprehend how design and creative content fit alongside all digital streams and have an understanding of UX/UI and responsive mobile design and how to ensure best practices between digital content and product, to elevate the customer journey and user experience. It goes without saying that you will be a talented and creative individual who will be motivated by working within a forward-thinking digital team.
What you'll be doing:
- To develop and take design ownership of the Harvey Nichols digital design footprint, supporting the Head of Creative and the Design Manager in the vision and development of Harvey Nichols digital design and content.
- Design and develop high-quality work for digital content, emails, website, affiliates and social media assets.
- Lead and manage BAU tasks briefed into the creative team from wider departments, along with seasonal briefs and larger projects set by the business.
- Ensure the workflow is managed effectively across the team from brief to final design and delivery.
- Ability to create digital campaigns for multiple territories and different user groups.
- Implement seasonal brand guidelines and champion brand consistency across all digital touchpoints, ensuring all design outputs adhere to brand guidelines.
- Work with the Online Product and Content Manager, UX/UI and CRM teams, to align the user experience with the creative digital content (on all devices).
- Comfortable working with CMS design systems and able to understand how to design creative content within those systems.
- Meet tight deadlines, handling workloads in a calm and professional manner.
- Stay fully abreast of new trends, technologies and advances in digital design and identify opportunities to apply these. Be aware of emerging fashion and cultural trends and be adept at interpreting those into cutting-edge creative design, providing advice and guidance to the team.
A bit about your experience:
- Previous experience in a digital design role within a (preferably) fashion or lifestyle luxury brand.
- Confident to bring strong and unique digital design ideas to the creative team.
- Knowledge around mobile and desktop web usability best practices, responsive and adaptive design alongside a holistic approach to overall usability and design.
- Have a high-level skill set with all Adobe creative suite such as Photoshop, XD, Illustrator, and After Effects or Animate – a clear good knowledge of HTML and its limitations on both Email, Website and App.
- Able to design compelling, luxury editorial digital content.
