Armed with the knowledge that our customers love fakeaways, the Gousto creative team was tasked to build a creative concept that would drive brand love, variety perception and recipe uptake.

Cue the Battle of the Buns, a TV talent show-inspired concept with hot dogs and burgers battling it out in a showdown of mouthwatering proportions. With the kitchen as its stage, the campaign captured the high-octane energy of iconic primetime performances.

Dramatic spotlighting made our recipes the indisputable stars, while evocative blue and pink neon lighting directly referenced the rivalling talents of classic TV music competitions.

The success of the Battle of the Buns campaign leaned heavily on fresh photography, a unique concept and an exciting look and feel to achieve KPI-smashing cut-through.
